WESTBOROUGH – Kids and families were thrilled on July 28 when Tatnuck Bookseller hosted a presentation by Animal Adventures Family Zoo and Rescue Center.

Based in Bolton, Animal Adventures travels regularly to introduce people of all ages to wildlife that is often rarely seen in New England.

Last week Tatnuck’s clients saw and petted everything from chinchillas and hairless rats to alligators and python snakes among other animals.

They also saw a hedgehog, a ferret and a lizard.

Located at 18 Lyman St. in the Westborough Mall, Tatnuck is New England’s largest independent bookstore.

It regularly hosts events that focus on everything from animal tours like the one on July 28 to book presentations by local authors. It has stepped up the in-person programming after months of canceled and postponed events due to COVID-19.
