Roo-Paul, Cluck Norris and Hennifer Lopez “will work their way into your heart and be a great addition to your hen flock or your bachelor flock,” the shelter said in a statement. social media posting.

While the cost of caring for these pets may be a bit higher due to the cages and special food, those at the Charleston Animal Society say there are benefits to bringing them home.

“It’s easier to take care of them – really, honestly, it’s a lot easier. You don’t have to walk around. If you are disabled, it can be a wonderful thing to have a bird that can keep you company during the day. Hyman said.

Those who are unsure of owning these exotic pets for the long term can help in other ways, such as fostering the animals until a permanent home can be found.
