‘Law & Order’ Returns with ‘Station 19’-‘Grey’ Anatomy’ Crossover Event; ‘Young Sheldon’ Wins Thursday Viewers

Thursday’s prime time was all about long-running TV dramas, like NBC Law and order and Law and Order: SVU fought against ABC’s premier Station 19-Grey’s Anatomy 2022 crossover event.

By Fast Affiliates, the long-awaited return of Law and order correct, Station 19, Law and Order: SVU and Grey’s Anatomy all tied for the highest demo rating of the night. Law and order returned to NBC after nearly 12 years, earning a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.54 million viewers, with the long-running drama series’ 21st season welcoming original cast members Sam Waterson and Anthony Anderson. At the same time, Station 19 (0.7, 4.78M) came back to pick things up from Grey’s mid-season cliffhanger (literally). The ABC drama was up from its mid-season finale in December (0.6, 4.53M)

No More Deadline

After the excitement of the first prime time, Law and Order: SVU (0.7, 5.04M) was up from its last pre-Olympic spell (0.6, 4.18M). Grey’s Anatomy (0.7, 4.41M), who was also up from his mid-season finale (0.6, 4.06M), bid farewell to Richard Flood’s Dr. Cormac Hayes.

Despite high ratings for NBC and ABC dramas, it was CBS Young Sheldon (0.6, 6.76M) which again attracted the largest audience of the evening. The comedy was also the highest rated title of the evening by CBS. With Young Sheldon topping ratings and new episodes of NBC and ABC drama series on the schedule, Thursday’s prime time looks set to return to normal after the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Fox’s night culminated with Joe Millionaire: for the richest or the poorest (0.3, 1.39 M), which was stable. Half-hour comedies call me kat and Swivelhowever, were not as stable: call me kat (0.2, 1.26M) hit lows in both demo and viewership, while the first year Swivel (0.2, 0.79M) was flat in the demo but declined in viewership to lows.

Thursday night ended with NBC beating both CBS and ABC with Law and order: organized crime (0.5, 3.43M). CBS touted Bull (0.4, 4.26 million), while ABC welcomed back big sky (0.3, 1.54M).

The CW returned with a repeat of Walker (0.1, 490,000) and new episode of Legacy (0.1, 290K).
